Berlin, Germany

I wasn't sure I was going to make it to Germany while I was here but I'm so glad I did. It didn't seem right to come all the way to Europe and not see Germany. The reason I decided to go to Berlin was mostly just to see where the Berlin Wall used to stand. Berlin played such a huge role in modern day Europe and I just wanted to see and experience the culture for myself. It was definitely worth it; Berlin is absolutely beautiful and unlike any other city I have ever visited. It has a very rebellious and artistic vibe that is present everywhere you go. The German people were so nice and friendly and I really appreciated the fact that all of the people spoke both German and English. Going to where the Berlin Wall used to stand was such a moving experience. I honestly can't even imagine what it must have been like for people who lived in Berlin when the Wall was still standing or even in Cold War Germany. I'm so thankful I had the opportunity to go to Berlin and see it for myself.

Semana Santa: Paris

Paris is hands down my favorite city and going back for a second time confirmed that. Going back to Paris with my Mom, who has never been, was absolutely amazing. I had a completely different experience from the first time I went with my friends, which made it even more fun. For this trip it was me, my Mom, my Aunt Anna, and my Mom's really good friend/our family friend Miss Norma. We stayed in the most adorable Parisian apartment that was conveniently just a few blocks from the metro. The entire trip I could not stop thinking about how happy I was and the fact that my Mom was actually in Europe with me. It was a dream come true all over again and I could not be more thankful for having the opportunity to travel through Europe with my Mom. Paris was the perfect way to end an amazing Semana Santa.

P.S. Thank you Mom for coming all the way to Europe to see me and taking me on this wonderful trip. Words can't even explain how amazing you are :) I love you!
